Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about using MyCloudConvert — privacy, formats, batch processing, and more.
Yes. Every tool on MyCloudConvert is free to use with no hidden fees, subscriptions, or trial limits. You can compress, convert, and resize as many files as you need.
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API. Your images and PDFs never leave your device — we do not upload, store, or transmit your files to any server.
No account is required. Open any tool, add your files, and download the results. There is no sign-up, login, or email verification.
We support PNG, JPG (JPEG), and WebP for image tools. You can convert between any of these formats, compress them, or resize them. PDF compression is also available on our compress tools.
Yes. Every tool supports batch processing. Add several files to the queue, adjust settings per file if needed, then convert, compress, or resize them all. You can download files individually or as a single ZIP archive.
Compression reduces file size by re-encoding your image with optimized settings. For JPG and WebP you can adjust quality. For PNG we optimize encoding while keeping lossless quality. You can also strip metadata and resize dimensions to further reduce size.
Convert changes the file format (for example, PNG to JPG or WebP to PNG). Compress keeps the same format but reduces file size. Both tools let you tune quality, dimensions, and metadata options per file.
The resize tool lets you set exact width and height, scale by percentage, or crop with aspect-ratio presets (1:1, 16:9, 4:3, and more). Use the interactive crop editor to select exactly what you want to keep, then apply your output dimensions.
Yes. Our compress tools accept PNG, JPG, WebP, and PDF in the same batch. PDF compression runs in your browser and can strip document metadata to reduce file size.
It depends on the settings you choose. PNG compression is lossless by default. JPG and WebP use a quality slider — higher values preserve more detail. You can preview results before downloading and adjust settings per file.
Yes. MyCloudConvert works in modern mobile browsers on iOS and Android. For the best experience with large batches or many files, we recommend a desktop browser with more available memory.
We recommend the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Tools require a browser that supports the Canvas API and modern JavaScript. If something does not work, try updating your browser or switching to another.
There is no fixed limit imposed by MyCloudConvert. Practical limits depend on your device memory and browser. Very large images or long PDF batches may be slower or fail on devices with limited RAM.
Only if you enable “Strip metadata” in the options for that file. By default, resize keeps metadata and compress may strip it depending on your settings. Metadata removal helps privacy and can reduce file size.
You may use MyCloudConvert for personal or commercial projects, subject to our Terms & Conditions. We do not claim any rights over files you process. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to edit any content you upload locally.
Yes. Use our Merge PDF tool to combine multiple PDFs and/or images (PNG, JPG, WebP) into a single PDF. Each image becomes one page. Reorder files in the queue before merging, then download one combined document.
Yes. Our Video Converter runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm — no server uploads. Convert to MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, MP3, AAC, WAV, GIF, and more. Files up to 30 MB are supported; the first use downloads the conversion engine (~31 MB, then cached).
Use our Contact page to send a message. We typically respond within one to two business days. Please include your browser, device, and steps to reproduce if reporting a bug.
